Position Summary 

 Based out of Calgary, this position reports directly to the VP Finance & Administration and will manage a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized, versatile, multi-tasker who wants to be part of an exciting team. The ideal candidate must have prior accounting experience and possess strong interpersonal and office administration skills.

  • Overseeing accounting functions, addressing day-to-day accounting related inquiries 
  • Bank reconciliation bank deposits 
  • Maintain accounts receivable 
  • Enter A/R invoices 
  • Monthly collections 
  • Maintain customer information and records 
  • Assist contract bookkeeper in tracking down receipts and payments 
  • Benefits administration 
  • Quarterly GST preparation 
  • Preparation of annual T4A’s 
  • Assist with annual Review with external accountants 



  • When necessary, receive and screen all inbound telephone calls, mail, e-mails, faxes and visitorsAnswer telephone calls immediately and courteously, handle general questions, inquiries and issues. 
  • Office administration including managing office supplies and ensuring office files are organized and up to date. 
  • Support the office and event production staff by assisting with general administrative duties when needed in a responsive, timely fashion. 
  • Schedule staff meetings and organize company events 
  • Organize and arrange per diems 
  • Maintain company cell phone program 
  • Project completion and archiving 
  • Organize sub-contractor paperwork and Non-disclosure agreements 



  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with a strong aptitude for administration 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on excellent customer service 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team or independently, flexible attitude toward shared duties 
  • Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to meet regular deadline 



  • QuickBooks or similar accounting system experience 
  • 2+ years’ relevant accounting experience 
  • Solid PC computer skills including Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word 
  • Experience in a small business environment a plus
